It’s nearly Easter and as we take a break over the holidays, with the thought of some warmer weather, I thought I would share some highs of the term….

Singamajigs may now be seven years old; when we first started facebook and twitter were not around…how things have changed!

Singamajigs has a facebook page and we are on twitter…it’s a great way to let you know what is happening. To help us continue what we have started over the next few weeks we will be asking you to share us with your friends through special offers and features…don’t miss out….find us on facebook, share and like us. Or if you like tweeting follow us on twitter…..watch this space.

We had a lovely surprise a couple of weeks ago when we were mentioned on the facebook page of Harrogate Mumbler. The question was asked from a mum about joining a music group with their little one, to either join Singamajigs or another music class. Here are some of the comments from that and also some comments from other Mums who come to Sure Start sessions below…

“I just wanted to say how much my son (and I!!) are enjoying your classes.  They are really imaginative and this term’s theme of shapes is different and great learning for my son.  I am convinced the classes are encouraging him to learn to concentrate, enjoy music and develop a sense of rhythm. Many thanks for all your enthusiasm! “

“I’ve taken my little girl since she was 1, we went to another music class before that and she’s now 18 months. From my experience I would opt for Singamajigs out of the two; she loves it and has got so much more confidence and involved since she started. There’s a good variety of music, songs and instruments but also consistency which she really enjoys!”

“I’ve been going with my 2 girls for the last 4 years and they both love it! If you go to a session at Kidzplay you get the added bonus of a coffee and a play while you’re there!”

“My daughter goes to Singamajigs with my mum on a Thursday & loves it!”

“My little boy loves coming to Singamajigs, he becomes totally absorbed in the group, doing all the actions and helping himself to the nosiest musical instruments! I feel like such a proud mum watching him develop and enjoy music.”

The joys of being able to share those first experiences with the Singamajigs community are amazing. This week alone I’ve seen a child take his first steps, whilst standing under the parachute and a little girl singing the wheels on the bus so loudly it surprised not only Mummy but the entire group.

Why would I wish to be anywhere else! Have a great Easter….I’m sure you will be singing shake those eggs…..

Happy Easter!!
